About us

Hi, my name is Julia Michaels. I’m a musician, singer and songwriting from Sydney.

When I was young, my parents did what many parents do. They worked tirelessly and made many sacrifices so I could take music lessons.

Since then, I’ve spent most of life immersed in music, performing all over the world, writing, recording and winning awards.

I’ve had an exciting career in music and while I enjoy the success , I discovered that what I’m actually most passionate about is imparting the love of music back into others.

That’s why I founded Hummingbird Music.
To create a music education centre that specialises in learning-centred teaching environments.

We teach music to all ages in a way that aligns with the learning style and needs of the student. This means that lessons are fun, engaging, stimulating AND challenging all the same time.

Music is in the heart of every person and we’re here to bring it out of you!
